Lasting Laos is a local sustainability certification, adapted from the Travelife initiative, aimed at businesses in the tourism supply chain. Eligible sectors include: transportation, food & beverage, handicraft & souvenir, and cultural excursions.

The Lasting Laos certification process can be summarized into the following steps:

Lasting Laos principles & criteria
Lasting Laos has been adapted from Travelife for Lao MSMEs and is based on the following principles:
The certification criteria have been developed through the consultation with tourism and hospitality businesses:
- Transportation – 35 mandatory and 6 voluntary criteria
- Food & Beverage – 28 mandatory and 9 voluntary criteria
- Handicraft & Souvenir – 29 mandatory and 10 voluntary criteria
- Cultural Excursion – 54 mandatory and 6 voluntary criteria
